At Hillsboro Area Hospital, we are working hard to ensure the safety and wellness of our team members, patients, and the community. As a community, we are asking for your help with this.
Along with frequent hand washing, covering coughs and sneezes and staying home when you are sick, we are also asking that you call into our Emergency Department at (217)-532-4199 before coming in for any Coronavirus concerns. This will allow us to perform an over the phone assessment, provide you with guidance and fully prepare for your arrival to the hospital, if necessary.
These steps are designed to reduce the likelihood of community spread of the disease, protect our caregivers, patients, and all vulnerable populations, as well as preserve healthcare resources so that we can maintain our readiness to care for our community.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in our efforts to keep everyone as safe and healthy as we possibly can.
In compliance with the Public Health Act (Sec. 3202), please take the time to review the cash price for the diagnostic test for COVID-19. While your health insurance plan will likely cover this lab without cost to you based on current emergency rules, it is important to check with your plan provider for the most accurate pricing information.
COVID-19 Diagnostic Test Cash Price:
Note: Other tests and screenings may be ordered and provided at the same time of service, which will affect your total bill, and may not be part of the COVID-19 coverage with your plan, thus co-pays and deductibles may apply.
Starting Sunday, March 29th at 7:00 am, Hillsboro Area Hospital will be enforcing a No Visitor Policy. The purpose of this policy is to help ensure the safety, health, and wellness of our patients, community and team members during the COVID-19 outbreak. There will be exceptions to this policy for special circumstances, which include but are not limited to the following:
To check on patients admitted to the hospital, family members may call 217-532-4172. We are also more than happy to assist you in facetiming your loved one with their permission during this difficult time.
Thank you for your continued cooperation and understanding as we work very hard to ensure the safety and health of our community!
We are following all current and updated guidelines from the Montgomery County Health Department, Illinois Department of Public Health, and The Center for Disease Control and Prevention. We recognize the evolving nature of this situation, and we continue to monitor and update our protocols to respond to any new recommendations.
