Hillsboro Area Hospital + Medicare-Medicaid Alignment Initiative

Hillsboro Area Hospital is excited to announce our coordination with the Medicare-Medicaid Alignment Initiative (MMAI). The MMAI, established in 2013, is designed to “reform the way care is delivered to clients eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid Services''. This program aims to simplify eligible participants' understanding of their coverage by combining their Medicare and Medicaid benefits into a single MMAI plan.

Enrollment materials have been delivered to the dual eligible participants regarding this program. If you are eligible for this program, you may choose to select a specific plan.

Hillsboro Area Hospital is proud to accept Blue Cross Blue Shield and Molina in coordination with the Medicare-Medicaid Alignment Initiative. If an MMAI patient would like to remain in-network at HAH, we encourage choosing the Blue Cross Blue Shield or Molina programs within the MMAI plan selection. Plan selection is available through August 31st, 2021. If a plan is not selected, a plan will be auto-assigned to participants on September 1st, 2021. Participants will have the option to adjust their plan on a monthly basis. 

We are excited to participate in the Medicare-Medicaid Alignment Initiative to ensure our patients have access to health programs that fit their needs. The MMAI program allows HAH to continue providing excellent care to our community members through the Blue Cross Blue Shield and Molina programs.
