Visitor Policy for Hillsboro Area Hospital:

As we progress through the challenges of COVID-19 we would like to share our updated visitor guidelines. At this time, all visitors will continue to be screened and required to wear a mask upon entry.

  • We are now allowing one visitor per patient per day throughout the facility. Exceptions will be made for special circumstances.
  • Patients who are coming to the hospital for an elective service, such as surgery, x-ray, labs, etc., may continue to have one support person join them in the waiting area.
  • For the safety of you and the members of your family, we continue to encourage that visitors be at least 18 years of age or older. If someone under the age of 18 must enter the hospital, due to daycare or babysitting issues, etc., we encourage you to bring a mask for them to wear while in the building, if they are able.
  • As a facility, we reserve the right to change our visitor policy at any time to ensure the health and safety of our patients and team members.

We feel that allowing a visitor for each patient will continue to help minimize their anxiety, as well as the anxiety their family members may be experiencing. We ask for your continued patience and support as we navigate this phase of the pandemic.
